The work behind our whipped tallow moisturizers starts with the suet. Our family sources beef suet locally in Wisconsin and renders it ourselves before it becomes the base of a moisturizer. Knowing what goes into the jar matters to us, and we want you to be able to see that clearly, too.
Starting close to home
We use locally sourced Wisconsin beef suet as the starting ingredient for our tallow moisturizers. Working with an ingredient sourced close to home is part of how our family approaches making these products. You can learn more about why we began in our family story.
Doing the rendering ourselves
We take the time to render the suet ourselves before making the finished moisturizers. Then we bring it together with the other ingredients for each blend. It’s hands-on work our family carries through to the finished jar.
Letting whole ingredients shape each blend
We infuse whole ingredients such as vanilla beans, lavender flowers, coffee beans, spices, or frankincense resin, depending on the blend. Those ingredients give each moisturizer its character and scent. We do not add essential oils or artificial fragrances. The finished moisturizers also include ingredients such as shea butter, extra virgin olive oil, and raw honey; check each product’s full list for its exact formula.
Clear labels help you choose
We share full ingredient lists because what works for one person’s routine may not fit another’s. Start with ingredients you tolerate and a scent you enjoy, then read the directions for the jar you choose. Our guide to beef tallow for skin explains the basics, and you can compare all five whipped moisturizers when you’re ready to find a blend.
