Local Wisconsin suet
We start with locally sourced suet and render it ourselves. Care begins long before the jar.
Our family. Our reasons.
Our son’s eczema sent us looking closely at the skincare we brought into our home. We wanted a moisturizer made with ingredients we understood, without added essential oils or synthetic fragrance. So we started making our own. With farmers in our family and Wisconsin suet close to home, that personal search became Greene Grass Tallow.
That is our family’s story. Our products are moisturizers, not treatments for eczema. Everyone’s skin is different.
Choose your blend
Our scents come from whole flowers, beans, spices, or resin, never essential oils or artificial fragrances. We don’t bleach or hydrogenate our tallow, so you may notice the natural scent of other ingredients too. We share the full label so you can choose for your own needs.
What goes into your jar matters. So does who makes it.

Full ingredient lists. Glass jars with metal lids. And a family you can reach when you have a question.
We choose our ingredients ourselves, render our own tallow, and keep looking for ways to improve every batch.
Local sourcing and making our products ourselves help us keep costs down and everyday skincare within reach.
We answer your questions, listen to your feedback, and personally review requests when a jar isn’t right for you.
We source our suet, raw honey, glass jars, metal lids, and labels locally, along with the beeswax and propolis in our lip balm. That reduces the cost of shipping those supplies to us. Making everything ourselves also removes manufacturing middlemen. We started as a single-income family, and that still shapes our goal: grow steadily while keeping our products affordable.
